Experience the terror of LURKS WITHIN—a survival horror combined with modern DRPG, featuring fast-paced combat and creatures illustrated by Trevor Henderson (@Slimyswampghost).
Inspired by classics like Resident Evil, Parasite Eve, and Shin Megami Tensei.
Exploration:
- [W] [A] [D]: Movement
- [S]: 180-degree turn
- [Spacebar (SPC)]: Interaction
Combat:
- [D] - Items: Displays the list of available consumable items.
- [E] - Tactics: Increases attack and defense chances until the next action.
- [A] - Combat: Lists available actions with equipped weapons.
- [Z] [X] [C] [V]: Available options depending on the action menu.
- [Q] - Reload: Reloads the selected weapon if ammunition is available.
- [Mouse]: Selects options in the menu.
- [ESC]: Returns to the combat action menu.
This game was created for the GMTK Game Jam 2024, with the theme 'Built to Scale.' LURKS WITHIN is the prototype that led to LURKS WITHIN WALLS.

Thank you, I was nervous watching the final battle.
Yeah I was took some claws punches (laughing). Oh, I almost forget this games are playing on Linux SO (peppermint OS - Debian flavour). Runs through the WINE interpreter, of course. But you may say the game runs to Linux properly when you expand your players to this operating system on Steam or other web store. I would be happy to see your games there super well spoken. :D

For being made for a game jam, this was quite good! Loved the old-school character controls and how limited it was, and the combat system was top notch. Made a video on it.
